Haitian Fine Art  donated  by artists and collectors from around the world to raise  funds for the repair of the Musée d'Art Haïtien du Collège St. Pierre in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The museum was severely  damaged  by the 2010 earthquake and has been closed to the public since then.

i was asked if i wanted to help, 
what is a better way to give back to the community by being a part of the reconstructions of the museum of my country.
i made to 2 bleu nudes, 

1- 47"X45"  Belle, d'abord, aussi, encore ...et enfin

the 2-  Fidele infidele

One proceeds would be a  % 100 to the museum and the other one's proceeds would be 40 % museum 60% artist....
there was suppose to be a show....
i don't know what happened to the pieces, my name doesn't even figure on their website....

There are 2 ways of telling stories from the past or the present ( live painting Aug 12)

I was set up for a live painting show at Presse cafe in august 2012.
I always refused to do live painting events, even if i did it somewhat  everyday at the gallery. lol.
You are the center of attention and emotionally naked in front of the public, they get to see the whole process and mistakes.

i  didn't like it.!!!!  I LOVED IT!!!!
i was totally nervous, I've never done that before.
It was really fun, the music was great, the people were happy, i would do it again...

TRANSITION may 2015

Transition : the process or a period of changing from one state or  condition to another.

Transition of color is the hardest to learn and one of best lessons in paint.
Once you master it you can do anything, play with light and shadow and create volume.

You have to wet the paint and dry the brush at every stroke, it helps to keep your paint clean.
 Work fast and don't let your colors dry.

Im in transition and at this stage being flexible is the key.
new life, new environment, new inspiration.....

I feel one step closer to my goals, I'm working for my solo exhibit.

i have being thinking about it for months...

im preparing for it, I'm taking a figure drawing class, prepping my surfaces, organizing my space.

it's as if i had some type of match and i had to exercise to be in shape...

its the same thing I'm exercising my hand and my eyes.

it feel so good to be in a classroom/studio.

"Satisfaction" what a feeling!!! written in may 2014

I have been working  for weeks for the mother's day fair at the gallery...it was really hard because I had to plan everything, make the card (receive and compilate pictures of  25 participant with diferent things), create the event on facebook, print and invite people, lets not forget try to accomodate and answer all the guests and participants questions....plus work on my own stuff.
But I did it anyway, I finished all I had planned to present..Super woman Annick...hahahah

I'm totally in love with boxes...Any, actually even cardboard boxes...it is really, really hard for me to trow them away. When its my birthday I get all excited about the gifts boxs i'm going to receive...it's so inspiring...I decided to make jewelry boxes.What woman doesn't like jewelry, this would be the perfect mother's day gift.
I designed a shadow box that an artisan made for me in precious cedar wood and I hand painted the insides. For once the mesures I gave where respected and the boxes were very well made. Satisfation what a great feeling...i didn't sleep much for a couple of days, I was on fast forward the whole week. But im very happy I pushed myself, I though about not participating a couple of times.The work load was heavy. Now its gone and im left with this intense feeling of joy and excitement, the same one i get when i exhibit my work.The encouragement and "positive" feedback and critics gives me energy to create.These events are very important, i get to meet new people, update the ones i already know and make "My Name".
I'm so gratefull it went well.
